Review Of "Vidaamuarchi" ( 2025)

Vidaamuarchi ( 2025)

In the last 14 years, my personal choice is only two films, Mankatha and Yennai Arindhaal, which have done justice to both the artistry and the creation of Ajith Kumar as an actor and as a script selector. The specialty of both of them is that they have presented a hero elevation in a way that is typical of South Indian cinema, without overshadowing the content of the work or manipulating the star quality of the actor, but only from the creator's perspective. I felt after watching the film that Vidayumarchchi gave an unsuccessful competition to take the third place in that list. It is not a problem to have an action thriller with a massy intro and a slow burn flow, but it is a film that does not feel fresh. Perhaps the fact that the film is a remake may have affected it. Also, the conflict that breaks up the relationship shown in this is quite cliche. This is a work that is potentially much better than the previous works of director Magizh Thirumeni, like Thadaiyaara Thakka and Thadam.

Entertaining but one-time watchable work.
